or Deepavali - the festival of lights - as it is commonly known here in Singapore.
I made these cupcakes with the colourful paisley toppers to bring them to my former neighbour's home for Deepavali celebration.
I also made an earlier batch for my colleagues and the ladies who attended the Bollywood dance class. I thought it would be fun to share them with the ladies since it was our last day of class plus it was my birthday too.

A traditional celebration here is never complete without sweet confections.

A collage of the mini cupcakes I brought to the Bollywood dance class, the paisley toppers that I made and lastly, my Punjabi suit that I drew inspiration for the toppers.

lovely Paisley toppers, kak :P
These are awesome! Did you use a paisley cookie cutter of fondant stamp to make those?
